SDA enables you to live more independently by providing the right supports in a home tailored to your needs.
NDIS Homes for High Support Needs
A type of housing funded by the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) for participants who have extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.
SDA homes are specially designed to make daily living safer and easier, while also allowing people to receive the right level of care.
Different SDA design categories make sure participants can live safely, independently, and with the right level of support.
SDA enables you to live more independently by providing the right supports in a home tailored to your needs.
Key Points in an SDA
Purpose-built housing: Designed or modified to be accessible and safe.
Not support itself:
SDA covers the cost of the building or modifications, while daily personal care and support are funded separately (through Supported Independent Living – SIL or other NDIS supports).
Range of options:
SDA can be apartments, villas, townhouses, or houses depending on the participant’s needs and preferences.
Participants eligible for SDA:
– have an extreme functional impairment or very high support needs
– meet the specialist disability accommodation needs requirement and the NDIS funding criteria

The care Gary has received from Jasleen Kaur and her staff has been nothing but exceptional. Jasleen takes great pride in the health, appearance and cleanliness of both her residents and facility.
