Roster Coordinator- NDIS community living

Beyond Care is seeking to appoint a dynamic, proactive, passionate individual to the role of Rostering Coordinator within our community living program. As a Roster Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining roster schedules by maximising the engagement, allocation and utilisation of Beyond Care’s workforce across a diverse range of service areas.


The role is located in Baulkham Hills with the view to allow for some working from home flexibility and will be a full-time position. The successful candidate will be outgoing and eager to join a fast-paced team and will be looking to take the next step in their career.

How you’ll make an impact as a Roster Coordinator: 

  • Complete and provide fortnightly rosters to all Beyond Care staff employed in community living program
  • Understand and maintain roster schedules as per Schads Awards 
  • Ensure rostering is in compliance with Award conditions (Schads Awards)
  • Identify and assess employee availability, capability and suitability to effectively match resources to business requirements and to maximise utilisation.
  • Engage with all stakeholders including but not limited to Service Coordinators, Support coordinators and Recruitment Managers.
  • Ensure rostering is fair, balanced and provides support worker’s safety and participant compatibility
  • Build sustainable relationships with Beyond Care’s workforce to increase engagement and utilisation and retention rates.
  • Develop strategies to communicate scheduling issues with all stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate roster information within designated business systems to ensure relevant parties are kept updated and inform.
  • Engagement with staff selection, training, competency, and compatibility
  • Support with after-hours rostering on a rotating basis

What we are looking for: 

  • Rostering or scheduling experience
  • Good understanding of SCHADS Awards
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience in rostering staff in a medium organisation and across multiple sites
  • Have experience in coordinating services in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Excellent communication, the ability to work well in a team environment and independently and proactively
  • Be creative by nature, where problem solving and thinking outside the square comes easily to you;
  • Be able to pick up processes and procedures in an efficient manner
  • Current NSW Driver’s License
  • Current WWCC and Police Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement in the role
